A hydrophore is a very important part of an effective and efficient water system, powered by a domestic water pump.

What is a hydrophore?

A hydrophore is nothing more than a pressure vessel that, together with other components of a plumbing system, i.e. a pump, pressure switch and valves, maintains the appropriate pressure in the water pipes. The use of a hydrophore prevents the pump from turning on too often every time the tap is turned on. If when you turn on the tap you see a pulsating flow of water ie. that the plumbing system does not have constant water pressure. What you see is the water pump switching on and off. To avoid such a situation, thoughtful plumbing systems use a hydrophore, which has a pressurized tank with compressed air, and the water "balloon" placed in it provides adequate water delivery pressure. The water pump starts only when the water pressure in the system decreases, which significantly increases its service life. In addition, you enjoy even water pressure and the silence of a pump that does not work so often.

DEDRA DED8877 hydrophore is powered by a 1200W pump for 230V voltage, i.e. from a common socket.

The hydrophore has an integrated water pump, which has a capacity of 3800l/h, which ensures a constant, even pressure of the fed water. The body of the hydrophore is a steel tank with a capacity of 19l. The pressure switch is responsible for maintaining the water pressure in the system (1.5-3 bar) activating the water pump when needed. Viewing the pressure through the built-in pressure gauge.
