Notching / scarifying:
The notching blade rotates and removes the felt layer formed by mosses, lichens and weeds, and carries the loosened material outside or into the grass catcher. When cutting, the blades penetrate the soil, so the lawn is loosened and better absorbs nutrients. We recommend scarifying your lawn in spring (April/May) and autumn (October).
Aeration / Aeration:
The cutting blade (aeration shaft) rotates and compacts the lawn or aerates lightly mossy areas. The removed moss is moved outside or into a grass garbage can. During aeration, the soil surface is scratched, which improves water drainage and facilitates oxygen absorption.
We recommend scarifying the lawn throughout the growing season as needed.
