The crankcase in Maruyama's saw is made of magnesium alloy (MCV5100, MCV5600, MCV6200 models). Magnesium provides better thermal conditions, lower operating temperature of the engine and affects the weight reduction of the machine.

The crankshaft has been provided with a silver-plated needle bearing to reduce the operating temperature. Cylinders and pistons are specially designed for chainsaws. Piston rings are made of special material to guarantee longer engine life.

The air arriving at the carburetor is filtered in 2 stages, using a special pre-filter design and through the main filter. Providing maximum protection for the carburetor and combustion chamber from contaminants.

Digital ignition ensures easy starting and consistent power in all operating conditions. A special ceramic is used on the candle, which guarantees better fuel combustion which translates into less carbon deposits.

Some models of Maruyama saws equipped with a decompressor, which guarantees an easy start with very little effort. Decompression mechanism eliminates recoil of the starter and ensures longer life of the starter.
