And although the blowers in question here are operated year-round, the sound of their operation is most often associated precisely with autumn.
Generally speaking, blowers are devices designed to move masses of dead plant parts - leaves, grass clippings scattered by pruners and scythes, hedge cutting residue - but also to move mineral debris (sand, gravel) and even fresh snow. Oleo-Mac offers three models of blowers, the design features of which differ significantly due to their purpose. The largest model available is a fully professional machine designed for a full range of cleanup work on extensive sites. The BV 163 is powered by an extremely efficient 4.5 hp internal combustion engine (two-stroke) capable of generating a powerful airstream of 90 m/s (over 300 km/h). The drive unit is placed on a comfortable backpack equipped with an efficient anti-vibration system consisting of a combination of two steel springs and a solid rubber element. The user is in full control of the airflow thanks to an ergonomic handle that includes an accelerator handle, an ignition switch and a lock to allow the engine to run at a constant RPM under full load, which is installed on a flexible air hose. An interesting feature of this model is the possibility of easy conversion of the blower to a turbine sprayer making the BV 163 drive unit the base for two seemingly different devices.
For owners of large gardens, garden maintenance contractors, or even for road verge work, the BV 250 diesel blower is the ideal solution. It is a lightweight, hand-carried machine equipped with a telescopic air tube, which allows the operator to freely control the air stream at 70 m/s (just over 250 km/h). Standard equipment on the BV 250 blower is a "duck beak" type nozzle significantly increasing the precision of moving dirt, especially wet leaves. The blower can be very conveniently adapted to collect leaves or grass clippings, or even small twigs left over after cutting the hedge. The set, which includes tubes made of plastic and a convenient bag (with a capacity of 36 l), is assembled without any tools. The fan that generates the airflow is factory equipped with a steel shredding knife. This solution allows to reduce the volume of collected material tenfold allowing to fully utilize the volume of the bag.

This lightweight design excels in densely built-up areas thanks to its low noise emission of 81 dB (A). The brushless motor that drives the fan is controlled by an electronic circuit that allows infinite adjustment of its speed and thus the airflow. It is worth mentioning at this point that the BVi 60 blower is one of the components of a set of Oleo-Mac rechargeable devices powered by the same model of batteries with a maximum capacity of 5.0 Ah.
