OLEO MAC and HAAGA sweepers
Autumn and winter is seemingly a period when little work is usually done outside, in gardens and around properties. However, these are the days of intensive work associated with the removal of the remains of dead plants, especially leaves and hedge cutting residues. In winter, quick removal of snow from sidewalks and driveways is important for the safety of users. This avoids the situation when the compacted snow layer freezes to the ground, requiring additional work to remove it. And although the devices mentioned in this article are also used in other seasons, their most intensive use is in autumn and winter.
We are talking about sweepers. VICTUS EMAK offers two groups of these machines - diesel-powered machines under the OM Line brand and hand-powered HAAGA sweepers.
Diesel models are available in two lines - PKM and PKR. Although in principle of operation the devices are very similar, their design differs fundamentally. The PKM series is powered by four-stroke engines with horizontal
with a shaft of 196 cm 3 , the brush with a working width of 60 or 80 cm can change its position by 15˚ to the left or right, which makes it possible to scrape dirt or snow both in the axis of travel of the sweeper and sideways in relation to the direction of travel.
PKR series models, on the other hand, are powered by four-stroke engines with a vertical shaft with a capacity of 196 cm 3 as well (except for the PKR 100B model). Brushes with a width of 80 and 100 cm in the models of this series can be set more precisely - depending on your needs in 5 positions in both directions. PKR models also feature a convenient-to-use central brush height adjustment lever and the ability to control the brush speed from 0 to 350 rpm, depending on local working conditions and the type of material being moved.
Although the PKM series models do not have the ability to adjust brush speed, and changing the working height requires stopping the machine and repositioning the support wheels, the series has two unique models in its range: PKM 80 E equipped with a 230V single-phase mains-powered electric starter, and the PKM 80 EL model (also with an electric starter) supplied with an attachment to convert the sweeper into a rotary snowblower with a working width of 56 cm.
Both series of sweepers can be equipped with additional elements supplied on request - a container for collected dirt and a blade for scraping snow. It is worth remembering that these components are dedicated to a specific series of sweepers, so they cannot be interchanged. There are places such as playgrounds, parking lots or production halls, as well as places under roofs where sweepers cannot be used for safety reasons
powered by internal combustion engines and, in addition, equipped with scraper brushes rotating at a significant speed. The solution to the problem of keeping these places clean is a series of hand sweepers, the leader in the production of such tools - the German company HAAGA.
HAAGA's range includes six models from a working width of 55 cm and a capacity of 1600 m 2 /h to 97 cm and a capacity of 4100 m 2 /h. All models were constructed in the same way. They have two rotating brushes on the front
filler, rear collecting brush, integral dirt container and rear wheels from which drive is transferred to the brush unit, convenient to use central knob for adjusting the working height.
An interesting solution is the assisted brush drive and travel drive on the 677 aku and 697 aku models. The system consists of four electric booster motors powered by a built-in battery pack. When the battery runs out, you can finish the job by pushing the sweeper in exactly the same way as models that do not have this system. The front brushes are made of a special material with a unique structure to collect both dry and wet material. The manufacturer provides a four-year warranty on this unique material.
