CEDRUS mowing robots - Hit of this year !!!
Gardening requires a lot of effort and time. Besides weeding the beds and watering, regular lawn mowing is one of the most time-consuming jobs. You can spend dozens of hours a year mowing your lawn. You may have already thought that you can use this time in other ways when you robotic mower will take care of your lawn for you.
Automated mowers have only begun to appear on a wider scale in gardens in the last few years, so there is still distrust among many people about their reliability and lawn mowing quality.
At the same time, the robotic mower can take excellent care of the lawn. Its main advantage is that it mows the lawn regularly, even several times a week. The lawn never grows back, its length does not fluctuate fundamentally, it is always cut off just a few millimeters from its top. As a result, the lawn doesn't get as much of a shock as it would if it was cut up by a third once in a while with a regular mower.
Another advantage is that the robotic mower mulches the lawn. Small pieces of cut grass fall to the roots, where they quickly rot and act as a natural fertilizer. At the same time, you don't have to worry about disposing of the cut grass, which ordinary lawnmowers usually collect in the garbage can.
If you have a well-maintained lawn around your house, there is no reason to hesitate to buy an automated mower. Modern mowers can even mow a plot divided into several zones. For example, some mowers can be configured to first mow the lawn in front of the house, then move along a specific corridor behind the house and mow another area there.
Basic models of robotic mowers usually use a simple yet very reliable system of limiting wires to orient the garden. This one for the mower is an invisible barrier through which the mower is unable to pass. The cable also uses the mower to locate the charging station. Installation of the cable is simple, just attach it to the ground with dowels along the perimeter of the lawn. If you want to prevent damage to it, you can also store it a few inches underground. It is enough, for example, to make a depression in the ground in the lawn with a shovel and insert the cable into it.
Where automated mowers can have problems?
Automated mowers have relatively small wheels, so they require flat surfaces. So they certainly can't mow, for example, a lawn where there are, for example, ruts from a car. A dog digging holes in the lawn where a lawnmower could get stuck could also be a problem. Most mowers also can't cope with terrains with slopes greater than 20° (35%).
So if there are none of the listed obstacles in your garden, there is no reason for further hesitation. All you need to do is to choose an automated mower model whose power corresponds to the area it will mow. The lawn will be thicker and more beautiful.
