Hecht at Dakar ! DAKAR 2022

We have written about the advantages of cordless tools many times before. However, when we wrote that you can work with it anywhere without any restrictions on the length of power cables, it probably didn't occur to anyone that "anywhere" could be, for example, in the middle of the desert. And it was during one of the toughest tests: the 2022 Dakar Rally.

Many motorsports fans will have noticed that Ollie Roučková set off for the Dakar marathon this year with her Suzuki Samurai car, which she literally pulled out of the nettles before the race. In the end, as Ollie Roučková herself stated, they built a "racing" special car out of scrap metal, which she really managed to get to the start of the race with.

Extremely challenging terrain is a tough test for all teams. So it could be assumed that the repaired wrecked Suzuki Samurai 1.3 would encounter many problems. That's why we equipped the Czech Samurai 2022 team with our HECHT tools. As it turned out, the team really encountered a lot of inconveniences during the competition. Determination dictated, however, to reach the finish line at all costs. Even shoving it in there with his own hands. Fortunately, they did not have to do so and even after various repairs "Samik" arrived on its own strength.

It does not matter whether you come in 1st or 128th place. In such a harsh test, success lies in reaching the finish line at all.
